Foreign Brother giving the concluding prayer asked that we be forgiven our "fallen shorts" instead of being forgiven where we "fall short". Muffled giggling could be heard throughout the KH. At least there was the occasional entertainment at the meeting.

This brought back memories. We had a brother in our hall (his first language wasn't English) and he would misread Gentile as Genital. Did make for some funny moments.

Welcome Free and Happy & Gone Awol. So glad to hear that you saved your daughter's life and that she didn't end up as another statistic due to the WT blood doctrine. I loved the case left on the platform...priceless! Leslie

Animals demonized
by free2beme injust wondering, do christians feel animals can be demonized?
i wonder, as i have some questions about demonized.
does the demon become the person, and send the person packing to some sort of waiting room?

Free2beme. I guess it would depend on whether a Christian believes everything written in the Bible. According to the gospel accounts of Christs ministry he expelled demon(s) from a possessed man and they entered a herd of swine that then jumped off a cliff. On a side note, we had an elder who said we shouldn't watch the movie "The Ghost and the Darkness" because the lions in the movie were supposedly possessed. If one believes that people can become demon-possessed then I suppose any living creature could be possessed. It boils down to what you personally believe on this matter. Sometimes animals, like people, are just not quite right in the head. -Leslie

lol gone for good. I was thinking something similar. Before my teens people in their thirties were "old". Then when my thirties came along, people in their fifties were "getting up there". Now that I'm 2 1/2 yrs away from the Big 6-0, when I read an obituary where the person died around age 72 or so I think, gee they weren't that old. It's all perspective. Don't sweat the small stuff. New Member...
by sosoconfused inhello everyone, just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.. i am a mid 30's just stepped aside elder, who just couldn't handle it anymore.. i am a 3rd generation born-in and former pioneer and bethelite.
it has been a log somewhat confusing ride for me, but i am finally settling in to realizing that i need to really look at what me and my family are doing.. .
its funny though what really got me here... it wasn't the 40 year old men telling me they were looking at boobies on the computer and hoping not to get in trouble, it wasn't the watching young people bail left and right, it wasn't the ever changing new light etc... but a simple thought.. .
